7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The great Dzogchen master Jigme Lingpa’s Wondrous Ocean of Advice for the Practice of Retreat in Solitude describes his own solitary retreat together with some clear guidance for those wishing to practice in retreat.

Jakob Leschly was born in Denmark where he took refuge with Ven. Kalu Rinpoche in 1974. He travelled to India and Nepal in the mid-1970s, studying under eminent lamas like Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, Dudjom Rinpoche, Tulku Pema Wangyal and Chagdud Rinpoche. Jakob completed a three-year retreat in France in 1984, and has since worked as translator, interpreter, and instructor. Since 1993, he has served Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche and the Siddhartha’s Intent sangha.
